Just writing in that all seems to be well enough with CCRW. I should update more. :)

I fought the network, and the network won. :) Well, after a pitched battle to save the machine that held the old cat rescue posting boards, I am sad to say they are no more. Fortunately, the contents of the old boards are backed up and I'll be transferring those posts to the new boards as soon as I can. In other good news, I have reliable email and Internet access again, and I'm looking forward to doing a little cleaning up of the webpages here at Catweb. :)

Hi everyone! I'm Dee Dreslough, and since Scott is now living halfway across the world, I'll be taking over the cat rescue webpage upkeep. I'm an animal science major at the University of Connecticut, and for the last two years, I've done a bit of work in Middletown with Burr Avenue's colony of stray cats. The page needs a lot of work to get current, but we've got a great foundation to build on, so it shouldn't be too hard to do. Email me updates and corrections and I'll incorporate them as fast as I can. - Dee

24 November 1996: Spruced up the appearance of the pages a bit.

22 September 1996: New list: Cat Events list.
30 July 1996: New list: Cats *WANTED* for adoption.
18 December 1995: New feature: "Cat of the week".
4 November 1995: Finally finished the long overdue page on spaying/neutering your cat, including a list of lame excuses not to do it (additions welcome).
28 October 1995: People using the mailbot to obtain adoption, lost & found, etc, listings no longer need to affix 'NOHTML' to the mail subject to cause the HTML tags to be stripped out. I decided to make it automatic since the few people who need to retrieve the lists by email won't have much use for the HTML versions anyway....
24 October 1995: A photo gallery of CCRW cats, past and present, has been added.
8 October: A guest book, where people can sign in and leave comments, has been added.
16 August 1995: Now that I'm hearing some definite success stories *cheer*, I'm listing the number I've heard about on the front page, with a link to a small page describing how I arrived at the estimate. The mailbot has been improved a little bit (it's now setting the correct subject field).
5 July 1995: I added a text-only information file, and an email autoresponder so that people who have internet email but not web access can get info about the CCRW. Our list of Connecticut shelters and rescue organizations is now fairly robust. There are also many cats listed as available for adoption--please consider adopting one!
4 June 1995: This is a brand new index, so everything here is new :-).
